Source to Sea
Beneath the surface of highland of Highland rivers, a quiet drama unfolds. This project follows the journey of Atlantic salmon’s life cycle. From careful hatching of eggs in hatchery trays to the swirling energy of young fry entering the wild. Alongside water bailiffs who patrol and protect these rivers, hatchery workers play a vital role in sustaining salmon populations. These photographs reveal a world shaped by light, movement and human care, where every ripple holds the story of a species and those who work tirelessly to protect and restore their journey.
